The idea behind  Patient Teacher was born from the realization that one of the most integral aspects of medical practice in the western world is patient-centered care. We believe that patient education and knowledge is the key to a successful outcome, and we want to see a world where patients all around the globe have the support and resources they need to make informed decisions about their own courses of treatment, and their own health.

We realize that much of the information currently available is not written by healthcare experts, which can potentially put vulnerable patients at risk. To address this concern, we have established a Medical Blog ‘The Patient Teacher ‘ to enable doctors and other professionals to collaborate, communicate, and together develop high quality Patient Healthcare education resources.
